Live Webinar
Part of the Comprehensive approach to Early EMDR Intervention (EEI), the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP)) incorporates existing protocols within a conceptual framework, with additional measures for containment and safety, using EMDR Therapy as its foundation. The Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP) is part of a comprehensive approach to Early EMDR Intervention (EEI). This workshop incorporates and extends existing protocols within a new conceptual framework, together with additional measures for containment and safety. Checking for sub-clinical sticking points which can obstruct Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) and don’t necessarily show up on the DSM radar, the R-TEP may reduce sensitization and accumulation of trauma memories. Workshop participants learn how to apply EMDR for early intervention in emergent trauma situations, providing the practitioner with detailed information regarding the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol. Participants will identify and apply key features, procedures, and concepts of R-TEP and demonstrate its use through practicum within the workshop setting. Participants will also learn how to adapt the procedure for online tele-health formats.
