January 16 – January 19, 2025
In-Person location: Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico
This immersive workshop experience delves deeply into Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills. These skills, the foundational pillars of DBT, are renowned for their efficacy in diverse therapeutic settings and with transdiagnostic client presentations. In DBT, long-lasting behavioral changes are built, offering clients practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and clarity.
Led by seasoned DBT expert Casey Limmer, MSW, LCSW, DBT-LBC, this workshop goes beyond theoretical comprehension. Participants will engage in a dynamic learning environment designed to foster skill acquisition through interactive exercises and real-world applications.
Unlike traditional workshops, this course is crafted to enrich your learning experience without detracting from your everyday life or your report experience. Each session is thoughtfully structured to blend learning with practical application, ensuring participants not only grasp the concepts but also integrate them into their professional practice and personal lives seamlessly.
Each morning concludes with a reflective session, where you’ll set your intentions for integrating your newfound knowledge into your personal experiences, ensuring a holistic awareness of DBT principles.
Participants will be “challenged” to continue the morning’s learning by practicing mindfulness amidst swaying palms and turquoise waters, applying distress tolerance techniques while savoring the calm of a secluded beach, refining emotion regulation skills as they relax by the pool, and trying out interpersonal effectiveness skills while ordering a mai tai.
This workshop isn’t just about learning — it’s about experiencing personal growth in a setting that enhances your application of DBT skills.
