Course Description:

This introductory course on AA is designed for peer counselors, recovery residence administrators and other para-professionals who work in substance abuse treatment.

This is an introductory course on Alcoholics Anonymous for the healthcare professional may also be used to ensure that employees and staff have a foundation of knowledge regarding Alcoholics Anonymous.  It is for individuals who have little or no knowledge of the fundamentals of Alcoholics Anonymous and therefore cannot be offered as continuing education credit for a licensed or certified professional in behavioral health.  Some agencies require that all staff complete introductory courses on Alcoholics Anonymous to ensure and document that all staff has a foundation of information about Alcoholics Anonymous.
