Course Description: This course is based upon materials published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention and is compiled for you by CE-Classes.com

 

This course is designed to introduce key concepts in Tuberculosis (TB) to Nonmedical Staff.  Tuberculosis is defined and the symptoms, mode of transmission, diagnosis, and treatment of the disease are reviewed. Practical advice for individuals exposed to TB both in their personal environment and at work is discussed as well as requirements for reporting this communicable disease.

 

This course on TB is designed for social workers, professional counselors, psychologists, and substance abuse counselors, who may be exposed to TB in their work environments.  This course is appropriate for beginning level practitioners who need to know about TB due to exposure in their work environment.
