The publication describes in detail current research into the process of aging and the impact that it is having on our lives.
This publication describes in detail the biological process of aging and how people may be able to live both well and long. The article goes to describe the causes of aging from a biological and genetic level. The impact of stress and eating habits on longevity are also detailed. Metabolism and the immune system and their interaction with the aging process are reviewed. Lastly, current research into aging is reviewed.
This is a superbly written article. The authors take complex subject material and simplify it with the aid of visual graphics that serve to aid the reader in understanding the biological process of aging. This course is an excellent reference for mental health professionals, social workers and nurses that work with the elderly.
