A Developmentally Grounded EMDRIA Approved Training for Treating Clients from Children to Adults Formerly referred to as Basic Training. 

Presenter Bio:
Dr. Adler-Tapia is an internationally-recognized trainer and author on developmentally grounded EMDR therapy. Dr. Adler-Tapia has developed the first US EMDRIA-approved Introductory Training for Therapists working with Children and Children in Adult Bodies. Dr. Adler-Tapia is author of Child Psychotherapy: Integrating Developmental Theory into Clinical Practice (2012) and co-author of EMDR and the Art of Psychotherapy with Children: Infants to Adolescents (2017) Dr. Robbie was trained as a Trainer by Dr. Francine Shapiro, and has several books, chapters, and articles on EMDR Therapy with children and Public Safety/First Responders.

  • Identify the parameters treatable with EMDR Therapy to safely and effectively implement treatment for clients of all ages.
  • Describe 3 aspects of the AIP Theory for effective case conceptualization and treatment planning
  • Identify 6 types of client complaints treatable with EMDR Therapy
  • Describe the criteria for client selection and how to apply to  case conceptualization through the phases of EMDR Therapy.
  • Describe 3 safety measures for effective and safe use of EMDR Therapy
