NARR Recovery Residence Quality Standards
This course provides a checklist for recovery residences to assess their attainment of quality standards in four domains: administrative and operational, recovery support, property and architecture, and good neighbor. Each domain is divided into core principles and a total of 37 quality standards are enumerated. For each quality standard, the text provides examples of the types of evidence which should be present if the principle is being properly followed. Check boxes are provided for each evidentiary goal, broken down into the NARR levels of residences. The goals of having such standards are four-fold. The first is promoting fidelity to the model, the second is educational, the third is measurable, and the fourth is empowering choice. This course is based upon material published by the National Alliance for Recovery Residences and is available as an open access article.
