1:15-2:15   Ethics in Action: Working with Trauma – Debra Carr, MA, JD, LPC, LMFT 

 

2:30-4:30   Eating Disorders and EMDR: Utilizing Art Therapy – Marie Rothman, MS, NCC, LPC 

 

EMDR in the Comprehensive Treatment of Addiction:

1)    Participants will have a working definition of addiction.

3)    Participants will be able to use a relational approach to obtain an addiction history.

 

Ethics Participants will be able to:

 

1)    Describe important critical thinking skills and the ethical decision-making process.

2)    Identify ethical considerations associated with treating clients who have experienced trauma with EMDR; particularly client safety, scope of practice, and qualifications.

 

 

Eating Disorders and EMDR Therapy Participants will be able to:

1)    Identify three types of eating disorders utilizing a history taking form.

2)    Describe therapeutic art techniques with regard to body image.

3)    Describe the use of storytelling and art techniques in treating eating disorders.
