1:15-2:15 Ethics in Action: Working with Trauma – Debra Carr, MA, JD, LPC, LMFT 

 

2:30-4:30 Equine Assisted Psychotherapy: Two Models and Its Use with EMDR Therapy – Nancy Goldman, PMHCNS-BC  

 

Disassociation Participants will be able to:

1)    Recognize at least five signs of possible dissociation.

2)    Identify and implement at least three tools that can be utilized in early intervention with clients with dissociative symptoms.

3)    Describe the Phase approach to treating dissociative disordered clients.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Participants will be able to:

1)    Define Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

2)    Recognize the similarities and differences between the EAGALA model (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) and Trauma Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Model.

3)    Describe how EMDR can be incorporated into Equine Assisted Psychotherapy practice using the Equilateral model.
